Description of the Indiana Leagues
A League - This is for 6-12 grade quizzers. It is designed for quizzers with experience and usually those in high school. It is a more competitive division and top teams can advance all the way to National Competition. They study all of the material for the year.
B League - This is for 6-12 grade quizzers. It is designed for quizzers who want more of a challenge than the Hoosier league. They study a little more than half of the material. These teams can advance to State competition, but no further.
Middle School League - This is for 6-8 grade quizzers only. It is designed for competitive middle school students who want the opportunity to be able to advance to the Great Lakes Regional competition.
Hoosier League - This is for 6-12 grade quizzers. It is designed for new quizzers and busy teens. It is strongly encouraged that quizzers start in the Hoosier league to learn how to study and quiz well before stepping into the more competitive and demanding divisions. There is no limit to how many years they may quiz in the Hoosier League. The Hoosier League only has 4 meets. They do not advance to State competition.
Youth Group Bible Challenge: This is an initiative to encourage entire youth groups to study God's Word in the month of September. It ends at the DYD competition. Teams in the Youth Group Bible Challenge are not considered a part of TBQ League competition. If they wish to continue they must officially join TBQ by registering their team for league competition.
Please Note: In Indiana, the B League and the Middle School league will be quizzing together in all the meets except for state. Thus it is permissible to quiz with mixed teams until we reach state competition. At State those middle school quizzers desiring to have an opportunity to advance to Regional competition must separate and not have any high school quizzers on their team. The members of your team are not "locked in" until State.
